Andreas Killian Descendants Historical Association 92nd Families & Friends Annual Reunion

Hello Killian cousins and friends,

The reunion planning committee has completed this years reunion schedule. In lieu of low attendance,
it was decided that on the "off" years, i.e. not 95th or 100th, the reunion will have a smaller schedule.
It is our hope to enlarge the participation by shortening the reunion to a Friday night and Saturday event.
Friday night at 6:30 pm, we will meet at the Mt. Zion Lutheran Church Family Life Center to have
a pot-luck supper; group photo; games; bring your photos a scanner will be available share your family
photos; may be even a band, but for certain an opportunity to show of your talent or personal family story.
For you late nighters, AKDHA Best Western Hickory guests and locals interested meet in the lobby area
to coninue enriching their family research, fishing and story tales, it's really just good old time of winding
down and getting to know each other in a more personal and deeper way. Saturday, from 9:00 am until
about 11:00 am, we plan to meet and explore the Patrick-Beaver Library in Hickory. Reunion group will
then head out for lunch/dinner at a local establishment. At 1:00 pm, the reunion group will meet at
Mt. Zion Lutheran Church Family Life Center. James Walker Green III, AKDHA DNA Co-Administrator will
present a program on Killian DNA and updates. After a short break including a group photo, Eddie Killian,
AKDHA President will present a program on Ancestrial Research. After a short break, our required
AKDHA Annual Business Meeting will be conducted. We are all proud to present this year's recepient of
the Charles & Cheryl Mann Killian Scholarship (also known as the AKDHA Scholarship) is Jared Daniel
Palmer, who is planning to attend Otterbein University in Westerville, Ohio. He is a direct desecendant
of Andreas Killian's son, Samuel C. Killian. After the conclusion of the annual business meeting, everyone
is encouraged to join everyone for supper, location to be announced. This year this will conclude the
annual reunion and everyone is also encouraged to attend the church of their choice on Sunday. As
stated last year by our AKDHA past-President Bill Killian of Waco, Texas, "It is our goal to make this
reunion a meaningful occasion for your family and a time of reconnecting and renewing relationships;
finding unity in family is extremely important". This is our goal every year. We have had a most excellent
run of reunions, making this our 92nd reunion in a row. I want to encourage each of you to seriously
consider attending the reunion this year. See you at the reunion.
